Our first collaboration with the Hello Wood team was full instructive experiences. The Gübecs created in the art camp demonstrates well the experimental use of materials and the courageous pairing of technologies which are the main features of Depó.

Mi az a Gübecs?

A Gübecs fagerendákkal határolt, több helyen áttört, monolit habbeton tömb. A külső határoló forma egy 240 cm x 240 cm x 240cm-es kocka, melynek a belsejében egy krumpli formájú üreget alakítunk ki. Az üregbe a kocka egyik oldalán lehet bemászni. Az üreg a forma tetején szintén áttört, s így fényt és irányított kilátást kapunk a fejünk feletti történésekből. A Gübecs a DEPÓ legújabb projektje az idei Hello Woodon, és az itt készülő szélkerék alapjául szolgál majd, közel 3 tonna tömegével segíti annak állékonyságát.

A DEPÓ a Szövetség '39 által 2011-ben indított workshopsorozat, melyben műhelyünk alkotói a beton iránt érdeklődő egyetemi hallgatókkal közösen hoznak létre tárgyakat, műalkotásokat.

What is Gübecs?

Gübecs is a cube made of foam concrete, framed by timbers. Outer dimensions are 240cm x 240cm x240cm, and in the center there is a elliptic/amorphic void. It is accessible from the side. Inside the Gallish, the walls are covered with soft silicone threads, like a big nest. This pushes the contrast even further between organic and industrial, exterior and interior. Gübecs is the project of DEPÓ at the yearly organized Hello Wood Art Camp in Csórompuszta, Hungary where it is going to be the pedestal of a wooden windmill.

DEPÓ is a sequence of workshops initiated by Szövetség '39 in which we study the material of concrete and create objects, art pieces of it with university students.

SCALE 46 - Csenge Bristolban kiállít / Csenge exhibits in Bristol, UK

The Motorcycle Showroom comes to the end of their winter/spring/summer program with the final exhibition Scale 46.

The Motorcycle Showroom International Residency will complete this June with Scale 46, a multi discipline exhibition from visual artist Csenge Kolozsvári. In August 2011, Kolozsvári completed a 1 month research residency funded by and held at The Motorcycle Showroom. She returns from the MFA in Montreal Canada this month with the final exhibition.

Épp most érkezett a hír, hogy a Monor integrált városközpont-fejlesztés keretén belül kiírt public art pályázatra beadott koncepciótervünk (Pix-1, Pix-2 avagy munkacímén MUKI) elnyerte a megvalósítás lehetőségét. A város vezetőiből alakult döntéshozó testület meglepő nyitottságára és bátorságára vall, hogy a megvalósítandó pályaművek kiválasztásába bevonták a helyi gimnázium diákjait is.Köszönjük!

We have just been informed that our concept plan (Pix-1, Pix-2 or as we called it MUKI) for the proposal of  Monor integrated town centre reconstruction - realizing public art works has won the possibility of realization!
